Rhythms in Sculpture: Talk by David Sprakes, MAFA

09 June 2018 Treasure House Alongside David's exhibition he will offer an insight into the 3D visual language, creative sources & techniques behind his sculpture. Explore the visual and technical journey involved in creating sculpture, from sketchbooks through to finished work.

Tiny Treasures - Seaside

14 June 2018 Treasure House Sessions for babies & under 5s to explore themes in our museum and art gallery, accompanied by their parent or carer. Each session has a different play focus with hands-on activities including messy play, handling objects, sand, craft activities etc.

Reconfigured - Art Gallery Collection (Life Drawing)

16 June 2018 Beverley Art Gallery Two clothed life models will be found in the art gallery in poses inspired by artworks from the collection. They will reconfigure the ideas in the artworks by adding a contemporary twist! Some movement and change in pose will keep you on your toes.

16 June 2018 Beverley Art Gallery Two clothed life models will be found in poses inspired by artworks from David Sprakes' Rhythms in Sculpture. They will reconfigure the ideas in the artworks by adding a contemporary twist! Some movement and change in pose will keep you on your toes.

Big Treasure Toddle

28 June 2018 Treasure House A session for under 5s in aid of Barnardo's Children's Charity. Starting at the Treasure House, children will have a chance to enjoy treasure-themed play and make their own coin before we set off for the Big Toddle, walking to Coronation Gardens.

Exhibition First Look: Birds, Blooms and Butterflies

15 September 2018 Treasure House Drop in on the opening day of our new exhibition and meet some of the staff and researchers who have been involved. There will also be an opportunity to take a closer look at some of Elizabeth Lambert's beautiful drawings which are not on display.

Trawling Through Time - The Story of Cook, Welton & Gemmell

20 September 2018 Treasure House Join Dr Robb Robinson and Dr Alex Ombler as they take you on a voyage through the fascinating 80 year history of the Beverley shipbuilding company that built some 1317 vessels. The company archives are now held at the Treasure House.

Botanical Painting (Art Workshop)

22 September 2018 Treasure House Inspired by a brief look at 19th century botanical and nature art history painters and the work of amateur artist Elizabeth Lambert, paint your own piece, working from fresh flowers and leaves provided.
